Why I volunteered here: This role allowed me to help create community partnerships, expand the Okanagan Pride Festival events from several hundred to several thousand guests, and contribute to a sense of belonging for the LGBT community. I was also instrumental in founding a peer support group for LGBTQ youth called Etcetera Kelowna.
