Why I volunteered here: The Food Bank is an essential part of this community which provides for those in need. The importance of this institution in those peoples' lives is paramount, and I wanted to be a part of this positive and generous organization.
Why I volunteered here: I've always had a passion for martial arts, and I decided that I should give back to the organization that has helped me so much. As a small child, I appreciated the lessons and coachings of volunteers in the dojo, and I saw their benefits.
Impact: 2 Hours Volunteered = 1 person with a disability the opportunity to experience nature
Why I volunteered here: Another great experience. Music is a passion of mine, so when I get to play it while benefiting local Food Banks at a Christmas concert it is amazing.
Why I volunteered here: Along with some other musicians at Okanagan Mission Secondary School, we were able to play for the Gutsy Walk event downtown. It was a fantastic way of making a positive impact while doing something that I love!
Why I volunteered here: I'm passionate about the food bank, and I was happy to be able to spread that to other potential volunteers of all walks of life.
Why I volunteered here: The importance of celebrating the LGBT community is incredibly large. I have a deep investment in acting against discrimination, so helping out at an event like this is very fulfilling. I couldn't have spent my time better, thanks to Pride Society.
