Why I volunteered here: I sit on this committee to provide input regarding community financial literacy programming.
Impact: Volunteers support hundreds of families to find clothing and equipment which directly impacts their cost of living.
Why I volunteered here: Summer swim meets rely on dozens of volunteers to run efficiently and someone has to call the swimmers to be marshaled for events. This position needed to be filled and I have experience with this type of work.
Why I volunteered here: It s great to watch the action and there is a great need for volunteer timers at a BC Summer Swimming Association swim meet with 19 timing spots alone to be filled in a weekend.
Why I volunteered here: Sitting on this committee provides perspective on the needs in our community, allowing me identify projects that can be supported through RCU.
Why I volunteered here: The need for this service has been identified in Revelstoke and it is great to be able to bring these workshops to the community, as financial literacy relates directly to the work I do.
