Vote now for Delta Hospice Society by selecting an emoji below! Winning the $50,000 SimpleGenerosity grant from Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union will help support Delta Hospice Society’s Enhanced Children and Teen Support Program. Children and teens grieve too - the funds would allow for a registered clinical counsellor position to support the community of Delta when a death has occurred. The impact of death affects the whole community including children, youth, parents, family members, colleagues, school teachers, administrators and counsellors, church communities and friends. With the drug overdose deaths increasing and sudden deaths including suicide, the schools desperately need additional resources with expertise in grief and loss. Teens often feel like they are the only one, no one understands what they are going through and it isn't something they can talk to their friends about. The Hospice strives to create a compassionate community through partnerships and creativity to reach out and support the entire community of North and South Delta. Thank you for helping us celebrate Canada150 and strengthening our communities with SimpleGenerosity!
