Winning the $50,000 SimpleGenerosity grant from Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union would help Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley expand its programs serving at-risk children and families in communities across the Fraser Valley, from Chilliwack/Fraser Cascade through to Ridge Meadows. Programs such as; Community Based Mentoring, In-School Mentoring, Game On! and Go Girls!, Big Bunch, and the Human Services Career Enrichment Program. The children most needing these resources are presently on wait lists. The added funding would significantly increase the capacity of the society to meet such a recognized need. The adult and teen volunteers, school districts, communities, families, and these very special children all benefit from the opportunity to be a part of the mentorship programs.
