I had the pleasure of volunteering at the Richmond Food Bank during one of their distribution days. The Richmond food bank serves over 200 families each day, some of which are refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine. This experience opened my eyes on how my daily actions can make a difference in my local community, how to mitigate food waste and educate my family and friends in the process.
