Stories of our community involvement
Had such a fun time volunteering at the Terry Fox Hometown Run in Port Coquitlam! It was an honor to help register last-minute participants, collect donations for cancer research, and cheer everyone on! It was even more of an honor to volunteer alongside my dear friend and God Mother/Sister Rosalyn Salanguit, a Stage 4 Tongue Cancer Thriver. The energy and positivity in the air was incredible.

In addition to volunteering at the Terry Fox Hometown Run, I was also Team Captain for the RecycleSmart Smartians! In total, we raised $800 for cancer research, and I could not be more proud of our team!
What a beautiful sunny Friday to volunteer. Today, I volunteered with the City of Richmond at their open house for the Active Living center. I helped setup and serve breakfast and even heard the Mayor speak. What a great opportunity and experience to expand my volunteer efforts. RecycleSmart
In May 2022 I had a goal of raising $1,000 for BC Cancer Foundation .
By the end of June 2022, I had raised $4,860 and donated all my hair!

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and supported!

Special thanks to RecycleSmart for being one of the top supporters.
It is that time of year again!

Last Tuesday RecycleSmart partnered with Ocean Wise Shoreline Clean up and the City of Richmond to get our Smartian Team Members from Western Canada out in the field to help clean up our communities.

Smartians were dispatched to different areas within Richmond BC, to collect trash and recyclable items to properly dispose of.

We hope to inspire others in the community to Get Better at Garbage and Rock the Recycling!

Keep an eye out for our Eastern Canada's team photos.

What a Canada Day Weekend. My brother broke a World Record Swimming. We were able to volunteer to swim next to him. Our family Swam a total of 200 laps. My niece (5) and nephew (6) did 30 each. My 1year old niece did 4 with me holding her. My 5-year-old did 24 laps with mom next to him for support. I swam 10 laps keeping pace with my brother for the first 5. My 8-year-old beat us all doing 102 laps in the pool next to his uncle. We raised $ 21,000.00 for the Children’s Hospital.
Had such a great time volunteering with the RecycleSmart fam!
We had a smartian assembly line organizing, prepping, delegating and assembling 400 Grab N Go Lunch bags for the families at the Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon . By prepping the 400 Grab N Go lunches, this ensures the families are well fed and have enough time and energy to focus on their family.

Lots of laughs and love, just in time for the Holidays!
With the Holidays right around the corner, RecycleSmart's team made it a priority to volunteer at some local organizations. One of the organizations is the Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon where the team prepared the house for the holidays and even assisted with some pre-renovation work. Not only does RecycleSmart believe in giving back to the local community, but we are living this value through our actions. Thank you to the all Smartians that participated and gave back to the community.
With the Holidays right around the corner, RecycleSmart's team made it a priority to volunteer at some local organizations. One of the organizations is the Greater Vancouver Food Bank where the team sorted, distributed and handled non-perishable foods. Thank you to the all Smartians that participated and gave back to the community.
It was a great day out with Brent at the Calgary 2021 SASCA Charity Golf Tournament. We were able to have a chat with current customers and interested guests at the hole RecycleSmart sponsored. Thank you RecycleSmart for being a tournament sponsor and helping raise at total of $37K for the Jumpstart Program, which helps Canadian children overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation, providing inclusive play for kids with all abilities.

We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s tournament!
