The Jilly Box reinvests $66,700 CAD in Indigenous Organizations

We are honoured to have reinvested a total of $66,700 CAD from The Fall and Summer Jilly Boxes into two organizations near and dear to our hearts: The Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) and The Orange Shirt Society!

The Indian Residential School Survivors Society provides essential services to the survivors of residential schools and their families and we are honoured to have allocated $20,000 CAD from the sales of The Fall 2022 Jilly Box to this organization. We have also reinvested in the IRSSS 100% of the profits from the sales of the orange shirt we designed with Awasis Boutique as an add-on for this season. With the support of our community, we were able to reinvest a total of $39, 700 CAD to the IRSSS!

Our giving back initiatives this season went much further! We also reinvested $27,000 CAD from the sales of The Fall and The Summer 2022 Jilly Boxes to The Orange Shirt Society. This non-profit organization, led by Phyllis Webstad, supports the Indian Residential School Reconciliation, and is committed to creating awareness of the individual, family and community intergenerational impacts of Indian Residential Schools through Orange Shirt Society activities as well as raising awareness of the concept, “Every Child Matters”.
