First West Foundation is here for you & our communities. We know charities continue to struggle with significant economic impacts caused by COVID-19 & we're pleased to provide a $5,000 grant from Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union & the First West Foundation Community Response Fund to further the efforts of Abbotsford Hospice Society in providing much needed grief support to families.
COVID-19 has escalated the intensity and demand for such support as many people cannot attend funerals or visit their dying loved ones due to pandemic restrictions; making the grief process much harder and increasingly complex. This grant will enable the Society to purchase laptops and tablets as they continue to provide virtual services where individuals and families can share their grief stories, support one another and make vital connections within the community to further healing and improve well-being.
