A $350 million emergency funding program is now available from the Government of Canada.

It's called the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) and is a collaboration between Community Foundations of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross and United Way Centraide Canada.

Eligible organizations include:

- registered charities;
- registered Canadian amateur athletic associations;
- registered Canadian municipalities; and
- registered municipal or public bodies performing a function of government in Canada
The fund is designed to help Canada’s most vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 crisis. The global pandemic has left no community untouched, and it is having a disproportionate impact on vulnerable Canadians who are less equipped to deal with its health, social and economic impacts.

ECSF will provide a much-needed boost to organizations on the frontlines, while we also continue our efforts to secure the funding and support required for the stabilization and recovery phases ahead.
