Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union staff are thinking twice before hitting print and the savings are huge. More than 18 months ago Valley First began a digital transformation across its organization encouraging staff to save paper by not printing unnecessarily. Since starting, six million pages have not been printed! To celebrate this milestone, Valley First presented a $1,500 donation to Casey Hamilton, Executive Director of Kelowna’s Okanagan Fruit Tree Project Society. The donation, equivalent to about 30 fruit trees, signifies Valley First’s commitment to going digital and supports its signature cause, Feed the Valley—a community-based program raising food, funds and awareness for local food banks across the Thompson, Okanagan and Similkameen valleys. And even more fitting, Branch Manager, Nicole Diachuk from Orchard Park presented the donation! #SnapSomeGood
