First Credit Union & Insurance is proud to support the Friends of Film Society of Powell River with a donation of $1,500 helping to facilitate the PRFF Adventures in Film Camp. This year, the society is creating a youth festival that runs in March after the main festival, where the camp is the core youth learning opportunity. Approximately 25 students attend the camp, equally divided between Powell River Digital Film School (PRDFS) students and participants from outside of Powell River. They attend master classes from visiting filmmakers, view age appropriate films, and most importantly collaborate with their peers, while mentored by a film professional, to create a 1-minute film that screens at the Festival.
