Sport Program Volunteers (Kelowna)
Empowering people with intellectual disabilities through sport!Good for Youth
Special Olympics BC – Kelowna is looking for program volunteers for our fall and winter sport programs!
Our program volunteers play a vital role in delivering quality sport programs to athletes in our community. Volunteers in this position are responsible for assisting and supporting coaches at weekly sport practices. Prior sport-specific experience isn't necessary, just an enthusiasm and willingness to help our athletes have fun and achieve personal success!
Time Commitment: 1-1.5 hours per week for 3-4 months at a time, depending on the sport.
We need volunteers for a variety of sports programs including (but not limited to):
-Basketball
-Swimming
-Club Fit (fitness training program)
-Floor Hockey
-Curling
-Youth Programs (ages 2-6, 7-11 and 12-21)
Special Olympics BC provides on-boarding for new volunteers and training opportunities for coaches through NCCP courses and professional development.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
