All sorted items go to our Thrift Stores and then sold. All monies go to local programsGood for Youth
1. To be positive and courteous to customers/donors and assist them in and out with their donations and thank them for choosing to give to The Salvation Army.
2. Sorting donated goods into categories as determined for pricing. Separating recycling and garbage; lifting bags and boxes from one place to another.
3. Pack the items for our stores into boxes for the different warehouse stations and deliver them to the stations so that items can be priced.
4. To assist as needed in the general operation of the warehouse sorting area and retail store.
5. Maintain product flow in warehouse of goods incoming and outgoing and assist with heavy lifting as required.
6. Assist in keeping the store/sorting area neat and clean and as organized as possible. Keep areas safe from hazards.
This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
