Program Coordinator (Kelowna Executive Committee)

Empowering people with intellectual disabilities through sport!

Special Olympics BC Kelowna is actively seeking a committed Program Coordinator to join their executive committee for the 2016/2017 year! This person is responsible for overseeing the sport programs within the Kelowna community. As such, the Program Coordinator is the key liaison for head coaches, communicating all sport-specific information to them and ensuring that programs are running smoothly. The Program Coordinator will also take charge of sport equipment and uniform distribution as needed and attend the monthly executive meetings.
Our ideal Program Coordinator is an excellent communicator who is comfortable connecting with people by phone, email or in person. As this role is on our executive committee, being a great team player is a must! No prior experience with Special Olympics BC is necessary, just your enthusiasm and willingness to join of our community and make a difference in the lives of our amazing athletes!
This position runs from September 2016 until June 2017 and can be shared by two Co-Program Coordinators if we find the right volunteers.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
