We believe that everyone should have equal opportunity to play in the outdoors. It is our goal to remove all barriers and help our community engage in the countless benefits of outdoor activity with a significant impact on mental health. Not all classrooms have four walls. We encourage others to play in the outdoors and live healthy lifestyles, to participate in our events, we create community partnerships to help us reach our goals as we lead by example.

Youth Outdoor Recreation Society

The Youth Outdoor Recreation Society is a local not-for-profit that subsidizes youth programming in our local community. Y.O.R.S. aims to work with local businesses, residents, and the schools to make outdoor recreation and education accessible financially to all students in the Okanagan-Skaha School District. Through kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, biking, and camping skills, children learn incredible hard skills and develop life-changing soft skills, and every child deserves that chance.
