Read some of the kind words that community members and organizations are saying about Integris Credit Union.
Integris Credit Union has been a sponsor of the Coldsnap Festival for many years, with a particular focus on the Community Outreach Workshop Series that we present each year during the festival. Their support allows us to present free-of-charge musicianship workshops and intimate daytime concerts to members of our Prince George community that may not have the financial means or feel comfortable attending our mainstage shows. The workshops feature our mainstage artists, and they are enriching and impactful for both the audience and artists, as we typically present these workshops at venues out in the community (e.g. The Fire Pit, Seniors Centre, Youth Around Prince George), bringing together all walks of the PG community through music. We cannot speak more highly of Integris for their unwavering support of our arts and culture community!
The staff and volunteers at Autumn Services work together like a family. We support one another through idea sharing and are never afraid to ask for help when tackling a new situation. At Autumn Services we have welcomed Integris into our family and have happily shared their great success with our community. When they were new to the community, we opened our doors to them and created an atmosphere where friendships could be fostered and supported. Our community and Autumn Services are richer thanks to our new friends and family at Integris Credit Union. Thank you for believing in us.
The support the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club has received from Integris is incredible. Integris partnered with us to deliver the Mobile Outreach Program in which we visited 13 elementary schools and impacted over 800 students. The program delivers coach led Nordic skiing to children who may never have the opportunity because they come from low income households. Integris also recognizes we are a not for profit. They have been there to support us by finding CNSC the best insurance, been there with the ICUBBQ on our volunteer appreciation day, and continually ask how they can join us in creating community enriched initiatives. It is lovely when you can work directly with people who are in your same community and understand your needs. We look forward to building a stronger community through ongoing collaborations with Integris Credit Union.
Words cannot express how grateful we are to partner with Integris Credit Union on better health outcomes for the communities in which we both embrace. Adding much needed healthcare equipment and services provides resilience and strength to the north. Through their Members, and as Donors, together we are successfully making a difference. Recent accomplishments such as adding OBGYN Surgical Equipment and Digital Mammography to Quesnel, an ECHO Ultrasound in Vanderhoof, and supporting strategic areas of healthcare concerns in Prince George through the CopperFalls Projects in Prince George, have provided the hand up to healthier communities. In addition, this adds strength to the system by improving Northern Health's ability to attract and retain the healthcare professionals needed for the Region. We can only do what we do through the generosity and gifts we receive from charitable minded organizations and individuals. We couldn't ask for better partners to help enrich the North!
The Fort St. James Public Library's mission is to support and create a space in the community where all are welcome and nurtured, surrounded by resources to inspire them. Our staff and public computers have been in need of updating for years now, and thanks to the Foundation, we have been able to achieve this goal. On behalf of the Trustees of the Fort St. James Public Library Association, the staff, the patrons, and the community at large, we want to thank the Foundation for the very generous donation which enabled us to buy these new computers for the public and the staff. Having access to technology for the community is an ongoing aspect of our strategic plan. We recognize how much the Integris Community Foundation contributes to the communities it serves. We will be sure that the Foundation is acknowledged publicly in the library. Partnerships are very important to us and so again we thank you for being a partner to the community and to the library.
We are so grateful for the Integris team coming out in the pouring rain to cook for our first ever Indigenous Peoples Day event. They braved the elements to make sure all had a wonderful lunch.
Quesnel Integris Credit Union was VERY responsive to our needs. Integris has also offered to create financial literacy workshops for the LGBTQ2S+ community ... an opportunity that we hope our community will avail themselves of.
During our 26 years of exciting sled dog race event hosting, Integris Fort St. James has been there for us - through financial support and/or actual volunteer support on race weekend. Given winter conditions, that willingness to come out and help has always been particularly appreciated!
The support that we receive from Integris each and every year is simply amazing! They are always the first to step up to support the PG Iceman every year and keep our unique event going. The financial support they provide allows us to continue to keep registration fees low for all of our participants, but most importantly help to sponsor our Frozen Warriors Program. The Frozen Warriors represent teams from schools that are considered lower income and provide kids that normally would not have the opportunity to participate in organized sport, the opportunity to be part of a team and participate in such a unique winter event, allowing them to experience outdoor activities they may never had the opportunity to experience before. The Iceman is truly a community event and the support from Integris really helps drive home the community experience, having Integris truly supporting the community they live in.
The Nechako Nordics is a relatively small cross country ski club located in Vanderhoof, BC. Our club has been active for over 30 years promoting cross county skiing in the Vanderhoof area. Last winter, for the first time, we initiated a Ski Rental Program. Our objective for this program is to keep ski equipment rental costs low and affordable. The Ski Rental Program was a phenomenal success! However, we quickly realized that while we have enough ski equipment for young children, we were sadly lacking equipment for interested older youth and adults. The Integris Credit Union funding we have received will help to correct this problem. Integris funding will also allow us to purchase waxing equipment so that club volunteers can efficiently and effectively wax our skis on a regular basis (storage wax application in the spring, storage wax removal in the late fall and a mid winter glide wax application). A BIG thank you to the Integris Credit Union Community Foundation for their support!
As a community member of Fort St. James, I have seen over the years the visible, positive impact that Integris Credit Union has made investing in innovative, diverse community-driven initiatives. Their actions, through their Community Foundation, demonstrate belief in Fort St. James and region that in partnerships, socially-motivated activities can support stronger infrastructure and drive change within rural/remote communities. Their quiet leadership and encouragement of citizens to help each other, creates equity for all community initiatives and sectors. Along with their comprehensive financial services for not-for-profit societies in Fort St. James, I have also personally experienced their direct support to Boards that I serve on. It is commendable that the Community Foundation takes into account the diversity and well-being of the community and looks at the outlying area as a whole. These actions help our communities become a better place to live, work and play.
After the revelation of unmarked graves at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc in May of 2021, several artists and art administrators got together and decided to do something to keep Indigenous stories from just fading as part of the news cycles. C.A.R.E. was formed to promote the belief that reconciliation begins and continues with education and there is no better way to educate and be educated about social issues than to listen to peoples’ stories, straight from the heart. Approximately once per month, we invite Indigenous musicians, artists, knowledge-keepers and community leaders to share their stories and we gather an audience to listen to those stories online and sometimes in-person. C.A.R.E. is supported solely by Friends and Allies. Integris Credit Union has shown their continuing commitment to reconciliation by supporting C.A.R.E. (and other organizations engaged with Truth and Reconciliation) and by actively participating in their events.
With the grant provided by the Integris Credit Union, we were able to buy some much needed safety equipment to replace gear that was WAY overdue for replacement. We were able to purchase new firefighter helmets, boots and to provide each firefighter with a personal high quality flashlight which, while required was never done before. We were also able to purchase a TIC, or Thermal Imaging Camera, which will be of great assistance when trying to locate hard to find hot spots in order to put out fires. As well, we bought Incident Command and Safety Officer vests which are also required on scenes. Without the support of Integris we would be putting our members at risk by having outdated safety gear, or by simply not having the right gear to begin with. We have taken a huge step forward in the last 2 years, with the help of Integris in our endeavor to become a certified fire department servicing our area of Cluculz Lake. We like to say a huge THANK YOU for your support!
The Nechako Valley Exhibition (Fall Fair) is Vanderhoof’s largest annual event, hosted over three days in August at the Society owned and operated 42-acre Exhibition Grounds. The Exhibition Grounds also provides an affordable, multi-purpose recreation centre for horse-back riding, horse boarding, clinics and shows, 4-H, major sanctioned rodeo events, public camping, archery tournaments, wildfire evacuation facilities for people and livestock, youth summer camps, public recreational vehicle storage, and community events. Integris Credit Union has contributed to essential capital projects at the Grounds including the construction of the 4-H Pavilion, water tower renovation, kitchen upgrades project, and more. We value doing business with Integris because we appreciate their commitment to enhancing 'life out here'. We look forward to partnering with the Community Foundation in future endeavours, and would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for all that you do for the Society!
Integris has always been a key player in allowing us to do the work we love to do. Year after year our events become twice as fun with half the stress than they would be without their support. Thanks to everyone at Integris!
As a past sponsor of Prince George Conservatory of Music concerts and recitals, Integris has shown how much they care about supporting music education in our community. Thank you Integris!
We came to Integris when we needed help getting to the next level with our organization. Integris knew what we needed and were very helpful in getting us set up!
Integris Credit Union has been a key player in helping our nation realize the future success of our fish hatchery and the investment in time, effort and funds to re introduce salmon to our lakes and watersheds. Takla is an emerging first nation in northern BC and has innovation as a keystone for the future. We are proud to recognize the work of Integris as vital in community support and assistance! Musi Cho Integris
The people at Integris Credit Union have been the trusted financial advisor of the association for ten years and counting. They have contributed to the financial good health of the association with expert advice and supported the construction of the Hospice Dream Home, to the annual Home & Garden Show and offer members solutions to operating their individual businesses in the dynamic homebuilding sector.
We Thank Integris Credit Union for their generous support of the 2022 Vanderhoof International Airshow! We couldn't do it without the participation of volunteers and local business! We hope to see you at the event!
The Exploration Place is a non-profit organization and registered Canadian charity. Our mission is “To provide learning opportunities that foster an understanding of significant past and current issues shaping our community by linking experiences within the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George to the world in a unique, participatory Museum of regional history, science, and technology.” The Exploration Place is the largest museum and the only science center in northern BC and is a much-loved cultural asset and community gathering place. When we have needed support, whether it was sponsorship or a loan of a BBQ to fundraise for our summer camps, our friends at Integris Credit Union have always been there for us. Their generosity has helped ensure we can continue to help 180 young Canadians each summer develop an appreciation for and understanding of science and technology.
Our partnership with Integris Credit Union has a tremendous effect on the YMCA’s ability to impact the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities. Integris and the YMCA are building a stronger region through a number of initiatives including the Integris Community Centre in Vanderhoof and Foundry in PG. Our innovative collaboration has resulted in the YMCA of Northern BC winning a YMCA Canada Innovation Award and enabled our organization to develop capacity, capability and impact throughout the region.”
Thank you to Integris Credit Union for supporting the North Cariboo Seniors Council snow removal program. Snow removal for seniors ensures that medical services and visitors such as home healthcare, deliveries from meal providers or Canada Post will have access to their front doors, it also helps keep seniors safe and supported in their own homes. Thank you again for enabling us to make Quesnel an Age friendly community.
As an organization we believe that one small action can spark something big. That an investment of time and energy can ignite the power and potential of our communities youth. Integris Credit Union has provided that one spark over and over again. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC is a proud member of Integris Credit Union and are so thankful for the ongoing support of the organization. Their staff activity participate in and attend agency fundraising events , they volunteer their time as mentors and more importantly they saw potential and have helped us create change. Integris took a chance on what seemed like a crazy idea and became a presenting sponsor of our Community Shuttle Program. Their support in helping us purchase vans means not only can we run our child care programs but can eliminate barriers and ensure all youth can participate in programs. In addition, these vans helped us become more sustainable. We would not be where we were if it wasn't for Integris!
