What people are saying about us
Megan GullenMamas for Mamas

At Mamas for Mamas we are always looking for storage lockers in our different branches so that we can store items for families in need. Our most recent branch was unable to secure a storage locker, but with the help of BigSteelBox we were able to find an even better solution. Thanks to BigSteelBox we were able to create a small storage unit at one of our volunteers houses. Now we will be able to help families in Nanaimo get the basic necessities they need as soon as the call comes in. We love to partner with companies like BigSteelBox because they truly help us build a stronger community together!

Rachel WormsbecherNorthern Saskatchewan International Children's Festival

BigSteelBox has been an amazing supporter of the Festival! Ample space to store all our material is always an issue and can be incredibly pricy. Their support as a sponsor has really been a game-changer for us and I can't say enough about how professional and wonderful they are to deal with!

BigSteelBox has partnered with Project Northern Lights to aid our 2020-2021 Winter COVID Relief Initiative, providing storage in 4 locations across Canada for PPE that will be used to protect marginalized and rural communities, including thousands of community members living in difficult-to-reach areas in the north of Canada. They were one of the first logistical partners to come on board and have allowed us to increase our efforts hugely during this crucial time. Thank you BigSteelBox!

Stories of our community involvement
For the past few years, BigSteelBox has teamed up with the Salvation Army to hold a Food Drive outside the entrance of Superstore in Kelowna. Due to COVID restrictions, the Food Drive was initially postponed, but then eventually had to be cancelled.

We truly value our partnership with the Salvation Army, so we still wanted to support the great work they do for our community, especially with Christmas right around the corner. Since we couldn't do the food drive, we decided that a cash donation would be the best option as it will allow them to directly purchase the things they need most.
For over 10+ years we've been supporting Operation Christmas Child by providing them a container to store donations in their effort to help struggling children in the developing world. Since 1993, more than 178 million children in more than 150 countries have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox filled with toys, hygiene items, school supplies and other items. We hope to be able to continue to support this great cause for many years to come.
Come out and support West Kelowna Fire Rescue's 23rd Annual Holiday Food Drive in support of local food banks. The fire stations will be drop off sites for residents to leave their non-perishable food donations from Dec. 1 to 15. This food will be safely stored in BigSteelBox shipping containers until it gets delivered to the food banks. Donations can be left at the following four locations:

Station 31 – Westbank, 3651 Old Okanagan Highway
Station 32 – Lakeview Heights, 2708 Olalla Road
Station 33 – Rose Valley, 1805 Westlake Road
Station 34 – Glenrosa, 3399 Gates Road
Looking forward to the Tree of Hope being lit-up tonight. BigSteelBox is happy to be a sponsor this year in support of the Child Advocacy Centre! It's nice to finally have a present under the tree!
Happy to have been able to donate a few containers for the KidSport Regina Bottle Drive. All donations raised went directly to helping kids ages 5-18 in the community play sports.
A couple of weeks ago I went on a Habitat for Humanity Okanagan Build day with BigSteelBox. This is me trying to operate a glue-gun with styrofoam insulation. I managed to survive the day, but the glue-gun wasn't so lucky! Anyway, it was an awesome experience and it feels so good to do some good!
Our first Habitat for Humanity Canada Build Day was a huge success! It was so great for 12 BigSteelBox team members to get to help build 2 homes for 2 amazing families in Chase, BC.

Thanks to Habitat for Humanity Kamloops for having us, we can’t wait to do it again 💙
After a long time coming, Habitat for Humanity Okanagan officially broke ground on the building of 12 townhomes in Lake Country today. Through our national partnership with them, we're able to support a great organization and work together to bring families closer to their dream of owning their own home!
So excited to have been able to help provide Mission2Guatemala a 40' BigSteelBox to use to load up with toys, furniture, tools etc. This box will now be shipped to Guatemala where it will be used to help the Indigenous Mayan people by helping to build and improve local schools, provide metal structures or roofs for churches, community buildings, clinics and orphanages and bring clean water to villages in need.
Through our national partnership, BigSteelBoxes are being donated to keep building supplies, equipment, and materials safe on Habitat Canada construction sites. We’re also providing containers to store items donated to local Habitat Restores.

Right now, your gift to Habitat Canada will have TWICE the impact in helping keep families safe during and after the COVID-19 crisis through stable housing!

BigSteelBox is matching all donations made during Habitat Canada’s Spring campaign up to a total of $50,000.

Please join us in supporting Habitat Canada’s mission to help families achieve affordable homeownership. Visit https://www.bigsteelbox.com/habitat-for-humanit... to learn more and donate today.
