Green Thumbs Growing Kids is looking for Spring program volunteers. We have a variety of positions listed on our website http://greenthumbsto.org/volunteer-intern/ and we also need Special Event volunteers who would like to assist in Emergence, our Spring gala!
VOLUNTEER
At Green Thumbs, we want to empower urban children, youth and their families to learn about, grow and prepare fresh foods, cultivated in an environmentally sustainable manner, in hand-on programs. We run children’s, youth and family programs on school and park grounds, and we need your assistance to support our mission. Our volunteer program has positions open for Garden Program Volunteers, Culinary Program Volunteers, Documentation and Social Media Volunteers and Office/Event Volunteers. Be part of a fun and engaging experience, assisting kids learn where food comes from! Certificates of Appreciation are provided once the time commitment of 2 hours per week for 6-8 weeks is completed. All volunteers must be willing to consent to a police reference check for Working with Vulnerable Persons.
