Supporting Autumn Services: Helping Build a Stronger, Healthier Community 🍞🥧
With the help of funding from the Integris Community Investment Council, Autumn Services in Fraser Lake has been able to upgrade their kitchen, bringing in much-needed tools like a pie press, heated display case, bread slicer, and food processor. These new additions are already making a difference by saving time, reducing waste, and keeping meal prices affordable for vulnerable residents. These tools allow Autumn Services to serve their community more efficiently. The pie press, for example, has cut the time needed to prepare pies in half—a game-changer for busy times like summer markets. The heated display case keeps food safely stored, and the bread slicer reduces waste with perfectly uniform slices.
Autumn Services welcomes over 500 visits a month, offering vital support to seniors and vulnerable residents in Fraser Lake. These kitchen upgrades are helping them provide not just meals but also a space where people can connect, feel included, and access affordable, nutritious food.
We’re grateful to play a small part in helping Autumn Services continue their incredible work. It’s through projects like this that we see the strength and resilience of our communities in action. 💛
