Here at First West Foundation, we LOVE the month of June – for so many reasons. Granting dollars are starting to hit charity mailboxes and that makes us deliriously happy!
Missed the announcement of our 2023 community endowment grantees? All the details are right here: https://t.co/fnAXd3ITFY
As we send out happy mail and start to gather stories for our newest grantees, we’re still sharing stories and shining a light on our amazing 2022 grantees.
Today we introduce you to Vermillion Forks Elementary School in Princeton, recipient of a $22,500 grant in 2022 through the Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union Community Endowment, housed with the First West Foundation.
"Receiving this grant from Valley First will allow our school to continue to run our afterschool program – completely free of charge to students. This program will help students achieve academic success by providing educational assistance to keep them on target with school projects, homework, and test preparation.”
The no-cost program provides a safe after-school experience for students, assists them with their social and emotional needs and is the only school in the district to do so.
“Thank you for once again giving us the opportunity to run our Afterschool Homework and Recreational Club!”
We say thank you, Vermillion Forks for the amazing support and guidance you are providing to these young, receptive, and capable future leaders.
