Tree Auction raises thousands for New Pool Project

This morning, we were delighted to hand over a cheque for $5,725 to the Municipality of Deloraine-Winchester for the New Pool Fund. These proceeds were raised through our Christmas Tree Auction fundraiser held December 2 at Deloraine Legion.
Up for auction were 14 Christmas trees, pre-lit and fully-decorated by students of Deloraine School; we saw trees of all themes and colour schemes! We invited local auctioneer Brent Crowe to lead the bidding for the event and couldn't have been happier with the results. Through the tremendous support of our local businesses and community members, a grand total of $5,725 was raised for the new pool - that's over $400 per tree!
Thank you to Brent Crowe for lending his skills to our event, and also to Deloraine Legion for hosting us (and letting us cram 14 trees inside!). Of course, this event would not have been possible without the support of Deloraine School staff and students. This community school has always shown tremendous community support and we love that you participate so wholeheartedly in our events. ❤️
We are proud to invest in such a worthy community project!
