Royal LePage Kelowna Angel Christmas Tree Fundraiser in support of the Kelowna Women's Shelter | Christmas 2022
For 25 years Royal LePage Kelowna staff and agents have generously supported the annual Angel Christmas Tree fundraiser in support of Kelowna Women’s Shelter. This year over 383 gifts were purchased for the PEACE program at the shelter with a value of approximately $9,575.
The PEACE program (Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment) provides both individual and group support to children aged 3-18 and their parents. It offers free parent and family support, information and skill development opportunities in a group or individual sessions. Children learn that they have the right to be safe, are not alone or responsible for the problems or changes happening in the family; learn to identify and express feelings, healthy and appropriate forms of communication, coping strategies, problem solving strategies and qualities of healthy relationships.
For most kids and families this holiday season, these will be the only gifts they receive, and items are used throughout the year as well to comfort women and children.
We are beyond thrilled and grateful for the generous donations from our Royal LePage Kelowna community and hope to put a smile on many children and families this holiday season!
