We are excited about offering three accommodating Volunteer Crisis Line Responder opportunities. Please see https://www.vicrisis.ca/volunteering-intro-date... and apply online. Our next training session begins on September 28, 2022.

Training for all three options occurs remotely via Trainual and Zoom. Option A training continues at our Crisis Centre in Nanaimo.

Option A – Crisis Line Responders provide support from our Crisis Centre, with remote service options
• You support service users via the following Crisis services:
• Vancouver Island Crisis Line, Crisis Chat, and Crisis Text
• Provincial 1800SUICIDE and 310Mental Health Support lines
• National Talk Suicide Canada network, supporting via both Voice and Text interactions

Option B – Crisis Line Responders answer Vancouver Island Crisis Chat and Crisis Text remotely
• You support service users via Vancouver Island Chat and Text, which is available from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Pacific

Option C – Crisis Line Responders provide support remotely
• You support service users via the following Crisis services:
• Vancouver Island Crisis Chat and Crisis Text
• National Talk Suicide Canada network, supporting via both Voice and Text interactions
