Co-op Provides Support for the Expressway Family Centre (Oxbow)
What need has your organization addressed in the community due to Southern Plains Co-op support?
Our organization has been working tirelessly on renovations for our new, permanent space. With the help of Southern Plains Co-Op Alameda location, we have been able to purchase materials to complete these renovations. This has helped us financially and kept us on track for completing these renovations in a timely manner. Completing these renovations in a cost and time efficient was ensures that we can continue to provide programming, support and other necessities to our community.
Please describe the support received from Southern Plains Co-op and the impact it has made
Southern Plains Co-op has supported the Expressway Family Centre's renovation project financially with a generous donation of $2,000 to the Alameda Home & Agro Centre. We are grateful for the support and generosity of our community for believing in our mission and aiding us in continuing to provide for our community. This financial donation has ensured that we can purchase materials to complete our renovation project efficiently and properly to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for our program participants, program leaders, community members and Pre-school/ Pre-K students.
What support is still needed and how can people learn more or get involved?
We are in need of volunteers to help complete these renovations. If anyone would like to volunteer time to paint, lay flooring, help with moving items, etc it would be appreciated! We are also looking for financial aide to go toward a new furnace. Our community has gone above and beyond for us this year. There would be no family centre without the love, support and generosity of our amazing community. Any donation of time, materials or funding is greatly appreciated!
