Reflecting on an amazing year of #simplegenerosity in 2021, Salt Spring Literacy received a $3,500 Thriving Minds grant to support two children’s programs: one to support children’s reading in schools and another that provides books to preschool families. Both programs have a great impact on children’s literacy development.
Family Place, a local Salt Spring organization that distributes the free book bags to families shared her experience saying, “I’ve been giving out the beautiful book bags for the past several weeks. They have been received with sheer delight and gratitude. This a wonderful project and the care pouted into making it happen for our families is very evident.”
We couldn’t agree more. Thank you to Salt Spring Literacy for the wonderful work you are doing around children’s literacy.
