Reflecting on an amazing year of #simplegenerosity in 2021, Senpaq’cin Elementary School was the recipient of a $5,000 Thriving Minds grant. Along with a healthy, home cooked lunch program, each classroom has a snack basket. The students play a key role in picking up and returning the baskets each day. And these baskets include fruit, volunteer made muffins, bread and always a jar of peanut butter.
We were thrilled to learn the in-classroom snack program was fully funded with this grant as the school culture ensures hunger is not stigmatized and never a barrier to learning.
