More than 300 riders put their creativity and bikes to work from August 1-15, 2021 by participating in the chart-your-own-course, virtual version of the Comox Bike Co YANA Ride, an integral, annual fundraiser for the Comox Valley Charity.

Through a summer like no other, even in the midst of holidays, beach days, long-anticipated road trips and travel, the incredible community of YANA supporters still showed up BIG time for our local families needing to travel to access medical treatment for their children and for pregnant mothers.

Making the switch to virtual fundraising events in the last couple of years has been a massive uphill battle for our organization. Knowing that the community-minded business leaders at Peninsula Co-op were in our corner every step of the way has been a huge relief for us. The pandemic has been incredibly hard on businesses everywhere. The fact that Co-Op still found a way to give back to the community we all share and love really shows how proudly they walk the talk!

To the riders, the donors, the sponsors; to the giant-hearted YANA supporters from across the Comox Valley and beyond, to say ‘thank you’ is hardly enough for the $77,000 that, together, we raised to help families. You truly showed every YANA child that even through the darkest of days, they are not alone.
