Through our Simple Generosity Program, we heard a story from Susan in Nanaimo how conquering her bucket list helps her family thrive. That inspired us at Island Savings to make a $2,500 donation to Nanaimo Unique Kids Organization! Here’s what they had to say: “All of us at NUKO were excited to get the phone call yesterday to let us know we are one of the lucky recipients to be receiving a donation from your Simple Generosity program. Due to COVID-19 we’ve been unable to take the students out for their regular afternoons in the community; however, through fundraising and donations, we have created a fun movement area and are slowly purchasing more items from Play With a Purpose for students to enjoy physical activities at the centre. We have also opened our doors this year for Occupational Therapist to work with some of our students. Your generous donation will help purchase more items for the movement area.”
