Thank you to everyone involved in making the recent Community Living Day at the BC Forest Discovery Centre a success. Island Savings was proud to help sponsor the event to make all of the food and activities (including the always popular steam train ride) free for all to enjoy. Our employees enjoyed welcoming everyone and helping out with many of the family activities including arts and crafts and face painting. The event was coordinated by the Clements Centre Society and focused on raising awareness for the inclusion of people with diverse abilities and to recognize Cowichan as being a community in which all individuals are included, valued and celebrated. Thank you to all of the many volunteers including our team of Toni Fleming, Cheylynn Holm, Samantha Olaussen, Ashley Provencal, Sandra Redman, Chris Waddell and andrea sidoroff.
