Our Salt Spring Island team capped off 2017 with a donation of $5,432.85 - equivalent to 16,298 meals - to their local food bank. The branch would like to thank the community for supporting their fundraising initiatives, which enabled them to donate over $10,000 to the Salt Spring Island Food Bank in 2017. The donation was done in conjunction with Island Savings’ Full Cupboard Program and the donations were collected through a chili cook off, holiday gift tag program and "Buy a Pile" campaign - highlighting the buying power food banks have with cash donations.
