Chilliwack Bowls of Hope have recently applied for funding through Envision Financial #simplegenerosity grant of $50,000.00. With this amount of money we can move forward with our plans to create an Educational Literacy component allowing us to help families acquire various skills to help overcome the many barriers that hinder them from sending healthy lunches to school with their children, whilst focusing on the very important ‘social , emotional’ developmental aspect within these workshops. Bowls of Hope has been feeding kids in our schools for 14 years and we want to take this a step further and work ‘with’ the families to help them through the difficulties associated with food security.
