The YES Project (Youth Engagement Strategy) is committed to creating positive change for Penticton Youth by working side-by-side with young people who want to make a difference. The YES Project supports youth aged 12 to 24 years old.
Stories of our community involvement
A small but mighty group of local charities gathered at Penticton City Hall to recognize Giving Tuesday today. Councillor Jake Kimberley read the civic proclamation and Tim Horton's provided coffee and treats. Prospera Credit Union enjoyed overwhelming volunteer support and a great public turnout at Penticton's Cinema Under the Stars event this past weekend. Donations, totaling $1,013, went to support The YES Project, a local organization committed to creating positive change for Penticton youth. A big thank you to all Prospera and YES Project volunteers!

Winning the $50,000 SimpleGenerosity grant from Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union and Enderby & District Financial, a division of First West CU would propel them one step closer to opening a Youth Resource Centre in Penticton. The Youth Resource Centre will be a one-stop hub of youth services with support from 26 local youth serving agencies. The YRC will provide health care services as well as assist youth with basic needs like food, showers, laundry and toiletries. There will be many opportunities for learning and trying new activities including cooking classes, job training, and budgeting.
