SWAC works with the cultural bodies of both governments and, as a separate body of community volunteers, will complement the work already being implemented. Westbank First Nation involvement in SWAC will encourage and increase the education and reflection of heritage and culture of the syilx/ Okanagan people. In 2015, the Westside won first place in our population category, across Canada for Culture Days. Our impact is felt through our leadership and inclusivity.
