Social Mission
Above all, kindness is our currency. We Donate. Share. Support. and Connect. As Mamas, we need to create a supportive village in which to raise our children. We are working every day to change the landscape of poverty for mamas and families in BC and across Canada. Items are never sold, and donations given directly to the organization will be distributed to our high risk, community based mama clients. Financial donations support the maintenance of our programs and are greatly appreciated!

Stories of our community involvement
We meet people for a reason, a season or a lifetime. If you're really lucky, you find all 3 in one person. We’ve found that, and the love and gratitude we feel for Jilly can be rivalled only by the love of a mother…

Quite fitting if you ask us, that Jilly's consistent love for what we do allows us to show compassion and consistency to thousands of mamas in Kelowna, and across the country. Full circle kindness currency for the win.

This particular moment of gratitude is dedicated to Jillian Harris Design Inc for including us as one of her charities in her 12 Days of Giving campaign, and to Project Skin who sponsored our donation this year! PLUS they've included over the top self-care packages to spoil a few lucky followers as well as a crazy generous donation of $10,000 to Mamas for Mamas.

Not only does Project Skin love spoiling you (and your skin!), but they also love to help support women wishing to build their self-esteem as well as allow themselves some much-deserved me-time.
Thank you Jillian Harris Design Inc and Project Skin for ensuring that we are able to take care of our communities over the holidays.

No mama left behind, indeed.

"Never doubt a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens could change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has" Margaret Mead

DAY 1 OF SANTA JILLY'S 12 DAYS OF GIVING CAMPAIGN IS LIVE!
Sponsoring local families during the holidays is a family and Team Jilly tradition. This year, Team Jilly is teaming up with The Jilly Box to bring this initiative to life! We have decided to come together to support some local families from extremely vulnerable communities. Our goal is to help support immediate needs, strengthen community members' ability to thrive, and to foster a more inclusive sense of community.
The Jilly Box has generously donated $10,000 to our Sponsored Families campaign!
We Need Your Help to Reach our Goal:
The Jilly Box is the presenting sponsor and has graciously donated $10k.
Cameo donations from October, November and December will go towards the campaign.
Your donation will help support some local families from extremely vulnerable communities.
Special thank you to the following community-centered brands who have generously teamed up with us to support our Sponsored Families Campaign this season: The Jilly Box, Laid Back Snacks, Saje Natural Wellness, Hatley, Clearly, Pomme Salon, Joe Fresh, Haven Sleep Co, Revival by Martin & Co., Nature Bee and MIFA AND CO.

*Please note we are not selecting the families to sponsor, we have entrusted this responsibility to partner organizations who directly serve the community all year round.
Shout out to the organizations that are dedicated to uplifting our communities: Mamas for Mamas KCR Community Resources Central Okanagan Community Food Bank
If you’ve been following me for a while you’ll know that one of my favourite things to do is give back. And that one of my all-time favourite local organizations to support is Mamas for Mamas. I am SO excited to announce that in June through Cameo, we were able to raise $5,012 CAD to help support local mamas in need!
Huge thank you to Penny (on the left) from Mamas for Mamas for hosting us on Interior Savings Day of Difference. What an honour it was to support the incredible work you do for our community. We helped harvest veggies which will be shared with local families and we did a little fall clean-up.
For anyone looking for meaningful volunteer work, Penny is always like looking for volunteers to help with some of the day to day maintenance of the farm.
Mamas for Mamas was planning on hosting their annual fundraiser this fall, but unfortunately they have had to postpone it, yet again. This event was projected to bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars to help fund their poverty relief programs, mental health programs, and crisis relief in Kelowna, Vancouver, and across Canada. With this huge curve ball thrown at them, they have had to PIVOT and are hosting an online campaign instead.
Do you want to help out and potentially win some amazing prizes (like a trip to NIMMO BAY)?
Make a one-time $21 dollar donation between September 21st-31st for your chance to win some awesome prizes.

Mamas for Mamas stopped by today to pick up their $10,000 donation from us, and we couldn't be happier to be supporting such an incredible organization that does so much for our community! Thank you for all your hard work ensuring that no family gets left behind!
Today Do Some Good thanks BigSteelBox for their incredible commitment to communities in B.C. and across Canada!

For BigSteelBox, "we are here to do good". A simple yet powerful concept that they put into action time and time again by working with over 25 charities and non-profits, as shown on their Do Some Good profile: https://dosomegood.ca/business/bigsteelbox-3486...

Nationally, they are the official storage provider, for Habitat for Humanity Canada, donating storage containers to keep building supplies, equipment, and materials safe on Habitat construction sites and Habitat Restores across the country.

BigSteelBox also stepped up in a big way during this pandemic, by partnering with Project Northern Lights to provide storage in 4 locations across Canada for PPE that will be used to protect marginalized and rural communities, including thousands of community members living in difficult-to-reach areas in the north of Canada.

And right here in B.C., they support many organizations like the BC Children's Hospital Foundation, Mamas for Mamas, and the Kamloops Food Bank.

GREAT JOB, BigSteelBox! We are so proud that you're part of the Do Some Good family.
Happy Friday! Today Do Some Good is giving a shout out to one of our Good Companies, Kelowna Toyota, for their amazing community support!

Take one look at the Kelowna Toyota website and you'll be blown away by how much they give back. We're talking 26 charities, 43 charity events, and over half a million dollars donated since 2016!

This is an incredible example of how businesses are so much more than the products or services they provide. They truly are part of the fabric of our community and play a very important role in strengthening our communities and helping those who need it most.

Kelowna Toyota is also in it for the long haul. For them, it's not just a once-and-done donation. They have over a dozen long-time community partnerships with charities and groups like Kelowna YMCA, Mamas for Mamas, BC SPCA Kelowna Branch, Central Okanagan Community Food Bank, East Meets West Children's Foundation, and Cops for Kids Riders.

THANK YOU for being a shining example of how to make giving back part of your business. We are SO proud you're part of the Do Some Good family!
