As breast cancer continues to be the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Canadian women and touches the lives of so many families every day, the CIBC Run for the Cure gives families, friends, and supporters the opportunity to join together in honouring their loved ones, and making a real difference.
It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and that means it's time for a test drive at Kelowna Toyota - because for every new Toyota that's taken for a test drive during the month of October, we'll donate $25 to breast cancer research! Even if you're not interested in test driving a new vehicle, you can still show your support by donating directly to the Canadian Cancer Society - Kelowna! Shout out to rhys spencer! Rhys is being recognized by Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union for his leadership in the community through our employee Lead Well program. To top it off, he received a $500 donation to a charity of his choice! Rhys chose to direct the donation to Ride2Survive, a one-day cycling event from Kelowna to Delta to raise funds for cancer research as an independent fundraising event for the Canadian Cancer Society. Here’s why Rhys is supporting the team; “When I moved to Penticton in the summer of 2013, one of the locals Bruce Schoenne welcomed me with open arms. He was a real influencer and connector to help build my new home life in Penticton and was a champion of local business; as well as, a long-time member and supporter of Valley First. Bruce did Ride2Survive many times and was a real champion of the event. Sadly, he passed in 2018 after a short fight with cancer himself. His wife Lynn and many friends are riding in his honour this year.”
We are excited to welcome Kelowna Toyota to our #GoodCompanyClub! Did you know they are currently donating $25 for every test drive during the month of October to the Canadian Cancer Society to support breast cancer research? Way to go Kelowna Toyota! Excited to have you join the club!
Prospera donated $1,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Canadian Cancer Society for their 2017 Daffodil Campaign. Our staff will proudly be wearing their daffodil pin throughout the month of April to show our support for people living with cancer and to raise awareness for the fight against cancer.
