Volunteer mentors help each child build confidence, increase social well-being, improve educational engagement and develop interpersonal skills. All mentors receive training on the five elements of developmental relationships: expressing care, showing support, sharing power, challenging growth and expanding possibilities. Mentoring is a proven intervention that helps young people learn to navigate life’s challenges in healthy ways.
