Youth Dungeons & Dragons Master (Facilitator)

A Fun, Unique Way to Give Back to the Community
Weekly on Wednesdays for 2 hours. This shift has upcoming schedule changes. This volunteer position is open to both youth and adults.
Summary: We are seeking a Dungeon Master to organize a youth table for Kelowna Inclusive’s Dungeon and Dragon Night. The Dungeon Master is responsible for creating the details and challenges of a given adventure while maintaining a realistic continuity of events. In addition, the Dungeon Master is expected to create an inclusive and age-appropriate world for players to explore.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
❖Creating details and challenges for your table on an ongoing basis.
❖Willing to teach and guide new players.
❖Create inclusive worlds for players to explore.
Requirements:
❖Have experience playing Dungeons & Dragons; Dungeon Master experience is a plus
❖Promote inclusion and equality both in-game and at the table
❖Be dependable and punctual
❖Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
❖Respect and maintain the confidentiality of Kelowna Inclusive volunteers and youth participants
❖Patience and understanding
❖Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check
Time Commitment:
Once per week, evenings for 2.0 Hours
Benefits:
Working with a team of volunteers and participants who also love to play Dungeons and Dragons.
