About the Walk of Hope
The Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope is the largest event in Canada dedicated to improving outcomes for those affected by ovarian cancer. Held annually in September during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, this family-friendly event has raised over $34 million to fund research, support programs, and advocacy efforts. Together, we can change the future of this disease.
Join Our Volunteer Committee
We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help plan and execute Walk events in over 31 communities across Canada. As a Committee Member, you’ll play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience while making a real difference in the fight against ovarian cancer.
Committee Roles
📌 Entertainment Lead – Book performers and create an engaging event atmosphere.
📌 Food & Beverage Lead – Coordinate catering, vendors, and dietary accommodations.
📌 Logistics Lead – Oversee event setup, layout, and smooth day-of operations.
📌 Registration & Finance Lead – Manage participant check-ins, transactions, and donations.
📌 General Committee Member – Support planning, outreach, and event execution.

• Monthly virtual meetings (Feb–June); bi-weekly (July–Walk Day).
• Local Committee meetings (schedule set by the team).
• On-site event support – September 7, 2025 (9 AM–1 PM) for most locations
• Optional drop-in sessions for extra support.
