Usher/Front of House

Good for people with Special Needs and Diverse Abilities

Are you a theatre lover and a people person? We need your help!
We are looking for volunteers to support the world premiere of Dreamweavers by Adonis Critter King! Volunteers get to see this incredible show in exchange for their time and volunteer labour.
Role of Usher
- Support the Front of House Manager in welcoming guests into the theatre, helping people to their seats, sharing directions to the bathroom, supporting disabled folks to the accessible seating/accessible bathroom
- Stays within the theatre during the show with flashlight and clipboard. Training in emergency exits and protocols, reports to Front of House, Stage Manager, Producer
- Support school performances by seating students and teachers in their assigned seating block
Role of Striking the Theatre - June 14th only, late night shift
- General labour to support the Story Theatre team
- Taking set, costume pieces out of the theatre and transporting to our storage locker
- Drivers/access to a larger vehicle is a huge help!
SHIFTS - 2-3 volunteers needed per shift
June 5, 9:15am - 2:15pm
June 6, 6:15pm - 8:15pm
June 8, 11:45am - 2:00pm & 3:15pm - 5:15pm
June 11, 12:00pm - 1:15pm
June 12, 9:15am - 1:15pm
June 13, 6:15pm - 8:15pm
June 14, 6:15pm - 8:15pm & 8:15pm - 12:00am (Late night shift)

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
