Become a 'tour guide' into the world of barriers faced by children in accessing education. You will be given a script but feel free to ad-lib and expand from your own research. Each guide leads a group of 20-25 students through 4 interactive simulations. Guides provide the introductory remarks and then lead their group through the simulations led by volunteers from local NGOs. Time required is 8 a.m.-2 pm daily but could also do a half day beginning at 11:20.

Global Schoolhouse

dramatic simulation of Why some children around the world do not receive even a primary education. Volunteers lead groups of local grade 6 students and help them experience first-hand some of the barriers faced.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
