Tax Preparer

Want to turn your knowledge into community impact?

- Do intake process with the person we serve (get name, ID etc).
- Collect all important tax documentation from the person they are serving.
- E-File or set up a paper file envelope depending on what year the person is filing for.
Monthly Commitment:
Flexible 3-6 hrs/month depending on season this is a year long program, with the busiest months in March & April:
May-Feb 3-6 hrs/month
March & April– 48 hrs/month
Free tax clinics help file taxes for those in need, helping them get the benefits and credit payments they may be entitled to. In 2024, our program filed 1,533 income tax returns, bringing $18 million into the community through refunds and benefits.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
