Good for Youth
Our Valley First team will be handing out salt water taffy along the parade route and collecting food and funds for the Penticton Food Bank.
Family members and friends are welcome to join. *Strollers are recommended for small children.
The weather should be hot, so please remember to wear sunscreen and a hat. Water will be available to keep everyone hydrated.
This is a big parade, lasting about an hour and a half, so please wear comfortable footwear. A Valley First t-shirt is also required. Please contact
community@valleyfirst.com if you require one.
Please check in at our location (Penticton Library) by 9:30am. This will give us time to get everyone coordinated and ready to go and take some group photos.
Parking: volunteers are to park their vehicles at the end of the parade route (near the Sicamous) and be dropped off at the starting point (Library) as there is no parking permitted along the parade route. Link to Map of Parade Route:http://www.peachfest.com/grandparade.html
The parade begins at 10 am at Main Street and Eckhart Avenue. It proceeds north on Main Street to Lakeshore Drive, west along Lakeshore Drive to the S.S. Sicamous, around the corner and then disbands at the Rose Garden car park. All cross streets will be barricaded to prevent accidents with parade participants and volunteers will be at every intersection on the parade route to ensure traffic is properly routed.
