Lake to Lake Full Cupboard Fundraising Team

Help raise funds for the Full Cupboard Food Bank partner of your choice!
Good for Groups

Team Captains Connie Croteau and Noella Trotter are excited to be coordinating an Island Savings team for the upcoming Lake to Lake Walk & Marathon along the Trans-Canada Trail. This new event will begin at 6am at West Shawnigan Lake Park and end at the Cowichan Lake Sports Arena in Lake Cowichan. The route will showcase some beautiful stops along the way including the Kinsol Trestle, Marie Canyon Trestle at Skutz Falls and Cowichan River Provincial Park. Island Savings Team participants will be collecting pledges for our new signature cause The Full Cupboard. Island Savings will provide a $10 pledge to the food bank of your choice for each participating staff members.
Participants will be required to register online. The registration fee will support costs such as traffic guards, food, beverages, first aid attendants, portable toilets etc. Register before July 1st for only $45, July 2-Aug 1 for $55, and from Aug 2- Sept 1 for $65. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges for the charities of their choice. Our Island Savings Team will be collecting pledges for our signature cause –The Full Cupboard. All funds will go towards the food bank of your choice in Island Savings trade area. You will be asked to turn in your pledge forms at the start of the walk. Team Captains Connie and Noella will collect all funds donated and deposit into the corresponding Full Cupboard accounts along with tax receipt information provided for all donations of $20 of more.

Lake to Lake Walk & Marathon

Island Savings is proud to be supporting this new 43 km long charity walk along the Trans-Canada Trail. There are many opportunities to help out including cheer teams, rest stop support and as a participant raising pledges for the Full Cupboard.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.

  • Physically fit
  • Good walking shoes
  • A registration waiver is required so participants assume all risks associated with the walk.
  • Note: If you have not reached the mid-race safety check point at Glenora Traihead Park by 12pm you will not be permitted to continue to the end as there will not be enough daylight to safely complete the course.
