Island Savings Youth Internship Program

Increase public awareness and support of restoration & conservation efforts for the Cowichan Estuary

The Cowichan Estuary Restoration & Conservation Association is committed to restore the ecological integrity of the Cowichan Estuary for the benefit of First Nations people, Cowichan Valley and provincial residents. During the months of July and August you will work with CERCA twice a week on a number of their initiatives including a research component to survey visitors to the Estuary’s nature trail open classroom area , monitor bird life on the site and assist in upkeep of the trail. This internship will also provide administrative support to CERCA with their upcoming fundraisers and event planning for the community grand opening of the Nature Trail in the fall.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
