Gallery Educator

Educate guests about marine animals in the galleries, amaze them with rescue stories, and inspire them to take action to help.
Good for Youth

Role summary:
-Share exciting information with guests about the animals that live here
- Bring guests closer to what they are learning about
- Be present, approachable and friendly in the galleries to guests
- Handle animal props responsibly while sharing them with guests
Desired skills and experience:
- Be able to present to groups of people (small and large)
- Be comfortable speaking about biology (Training provided)
- Any extra languages you speak are an added bonus!
- Be able to stand on your feet for 4 hours at a time (no sitting during your shift, unless you are on break).
- Any nature, science, diving, water, research, biology, chemistry experience an asset, but NOT required.
Commitment:
- 3 x 4 hour shifts per month (flexible days of the volunteer's choice)
