Door Monitor

The role of Symposium volunteers is essential to the smooth running of the event, particularly in the area of logistical support.

We are recruiting for volunteers to help with such tasks as room monitoring, providing participants with general directions, and other logistical tasks as needed.
In recognition of your contribution, you will receive:
- Nutrition breaks on the day of active participation as an on-site volunteer
- Volunteer t-shirt
- Opportunity to sit in on shift related education sessions
- BCRPA Registered Fitness Leaders will also be eligible for one Continuing Education Credit (CEC) per three hours of volunteer time at the event (to a maximum of four CECs for the entire conference)
The conference runs from April 5 - 7 inclusive. Shifts are available as follows:
Wednesday, April 5 - 8:00 am - 4:20 pm
Thursday, April 6 - 10:50 am - Noon
Friday, April 7 - 8:45 am - 10:15 am

2017 Symposium

Symposium is a flagship event that attracts hundreds of delegates in the recreation and parks sector. It provides an excellent opportunity for volunteers to engage with professionals in the field and learn more about the issues relevant to the sector

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
