Day of Caring Ambassador

This position extends representation at the United Way CSO Day of Caring® events thereby increasing awareness of United Way within the community.

Our Ambassadors greet and thank the volunteers for attending and assist the charity to explain its role within the community. Additionally, Ambassadors ensure that relevant information and adequate materials and tools have been provided by the charity to ensure safe practice. These volunteers also take photos of the event to ensure adequate promotion is given and may also participate in the event itself.
Core responsibilities:
Building Relationships:
 Visit the project site and visibly represent UW CSO.
 Welcome and greet volunteers
 Assist in explaining the role and importance of the event’s charity
 Take photos of the event and provide them back to UW CSO staff
Communicating Effectively:
 Participate in the Volunteer Orientation to ensure correct messaging.
 Represent United Way in the community in a professional manner and share our message.
 Share new ideas and collaborate with the United Way team.

This volunteer position has no scheduling requirements attached to it. You can work out your availability and time commitment directly with the organizer.
