British Columbia Schizophrenia Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 and has since grown into a province-wide family support system. BCSS is dedicated to providing support, local education opportunities for the public, and advocating for better services for people with serious and persistent mental illness.
A community where those affected by mental illness receive excellent treatment, services, are accepted and included in our community.

Our Core Value is to be Family Centred - We assist to provide education and support for persons and families affected by serious mental illness. The family unit is our first responsibility and primary focus; the person with the illness is always included in the definition of family.
