I supported Feed the Valley in 2016 Volunteer Challenge!
Raise Food, Funds and Awareness for Feed the Valley our Signature Cause!We achieved an immense milestone this year by surpassing our initial fundraising goal of $1 million dollars for our signature cause Feed the Valley! As we continue to raise food, funds and awareness for the serious issue of hunger in our communities we invite you to take our corporate challenge this year in stepping up and providing a minimum 2 hour contribution of your time to support the cause. Eligible activities include:
*Volunteering in your local food bank,
*Serving as a FTV Champion
*Participating with a FTV branch event or initiative
*Participating with a Corporate FTV event/initiative
Logging your Hours:
*On the "My Volunteerism" section of your profile page, right click the "I supported Feed the Valley in 2016 Volunteer Challenge!" opportunity
*Select "Log Hours" and add the # of hours volunteered
*If hour(s) were done during work check the corresponding box
*In the feedback area add a description of the work done. eg: "Volunteered at the Kamloops Food Bank" , "Assisted with X branch FTV fundraiser." etc.
*Every time you support FTV with a volunteer opportunity remember to log your hours under this Volinspire opportunity and note what the support was for in the description field.
*2016 volunteer efforts for FTV that you have already contributed should be included here as well. Please indicate in the description field if hour(s) you are submitting have already been captured under another Volinspire opportunity.
* Our new Lead Well policy provides all FT and PT staff who volunteer their time to assist in serving an organization up to 3 paid days (or 22.5 paid hours) per calendar year, providing the activities involved fall during a regular scheduled work day.
